We are now helping our client, a global leader in the fashion industry, to find a driven Business Controller with an interest in technology. Based in their Stockholm office, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact by blending financial expertise with a curiosity for innovation and technology. This is a full-time consulting assignment between 2025-03-03 to 2026-01-16.

About the role:

As a Business Controller, you will play a key role in guiding financial processes and ensuring resources are utilized to maximize business value. Working closely with stakeholders across Business Tech and other senior leaders, your focus will be on fostering a strong financial mindset, driving improvements, and enabling impactful decision-making.

You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, engaging with fellow controllers daily while contributing to strategic and operational goals. This is a dynamic role where adaptability, curiosity, and a problem-solving approach will be critical to success.

Responsibilities:

• Execute budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for your assigned units and consolidate financial reporting for Business Tech.
• Manage monthly financial activities, including reporting and cut-off processes.
• Provide analysis and guidance to support strategic decisions and implementation efforts.
• Monitor financial flows such as recharge costs, invoices, and accruals, ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Continuously optimize budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct analyses and investigations to improve business impact and cost consciousness.
• Educate and support Business Tech leaders in financial planning, follow-up, and decision-making.
• Oversee purchase processes, including invoice handling and agreement control.
• Contribute to both short-term goal setting and long-term strategy development, challenging existing ways of working.

Experience and skills required:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar Controller role, preferably in a global company.
• Academic degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Strong skills in financial tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SAP).
• Proven ability to analyze complex situations and involve key stakeholders in solution development.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
• A track record of challenging existing ways of working and driving innovation.
• Interest in and understanding of technology and its role in modern business.
