We are looking for a creative and experienced Motion & Content Designer for an exciting consulting assignment with an innovative player in the automotive industry, based in Gothenburg. The assignment runs from October 6, 2025, to March 31, 2026.

About the role

As a Senior Motion & Content Designer, you will play a key role in the client's automotive design studio, working within the Technology & Innovation department. You’ll be part of a cross-functional and forward-thinking team, collaborating across disciplines to create visual concepts that blend aesthetics and cutting-edge technology. The focus is on developing animated and static content for both interior and exterior lighting, always with world-class execution and attention to design integrity.

The role is based on-site at the client’s studio in Gothenburg, with an ‘office-first’ approach and some flexibility to work from home. Occasional travel to China may be required (approximately 2-3 trips per year). You will work with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, and are expected to take ownership of your deliveries.

You will report to the design leadership within the Technology & Innovation team and collaborate closely with other design and engineering departments shaping future mobility experiences.

Responsibilities

• Create static and animated content from concept to implementation
• Produce high-end 2D/3D visuals, animations, and motion graphics
• Explore new ways to integrate motion and graphics with both interior and exterior vehicle design
• Develop and visualize creative concepts with strong structure and attention to detail
• Present design proposals to stakeholders, incorporate feedback, and refine deliverables
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure successful integration
• Align visual and motion content with technical constraints and regulations
• Deliver detailed visual/motion specifications to suppliers
• Interface with all relevant stakeholders throughout the development process

About you

You are a passionate and innovative designer with a strong sense of visual storytelling, form, and motion. You are structured, analytical, and capable of working independently in a high-responsibility role. At the same time, you’re a great collaborator who thrives in multidisciplinary teams. You’re confident in managing shifting priorities and delivering high-quality work under time constraints.

Experience and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or Interaction Design
• 8+ years of experience as a motion designer and 3D artist
• Strong portfolio and/or showreel showcasing both static and animated content (submission required)
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
• Excellent visual and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Experience working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
• Automotive lighting design experience is a plus

Tools and software

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects and Premiere
• Proficient in Figma
• Experience with 3D modeling, animation, and rendering tools such as VRED, Blender, or Cinema 4D
