This full-time assignment is based in Malmö (Hyllie) and runs from June 16 2025 through August 31 2025, with the possibility of extension. 

The role offers hybrid flexibility, with on-call expectations following the product’s go-live phase.

About the role

As a Frontend Developer, you will contribute to the development of a modern sales tool used in physical retail environments. This tool supports co-workers in navigating product ranges, accessing stock information, and placing sales orders. You’ll work within a cross-functional team and contribute to design decisions, system integrations, and user interface development with a focus on performance, accessibility, and user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a modern React-based frontend for an in-store sales tool.
• Implement a Node.js Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) to handle API orchestration across product, inventory, pricing, and customer services.
• Ensure the user interface aligns with accessibility standards and a design system.
• Enable responsive behavior across devices including desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Manage concurrent workflows for multiple in-store customer sessions.
• Build event-driven UI updates in response to backend-triggered events.
• Collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and product stakeholders.

About you

You are an experienced frontend developer with a passion for creating intuitive, accessible, and resilient user experiences. Your background in building component-driven applications using React and TypeScript equips you to contribute meaningfully from day one. Your familiarity with orchestrating APIs and managing state in dynamic environments makes you comfortable navigating complex system integrations. Experience in retail or customer-facing systems is highly valuable in this role.

Experience and skills

• Strong experience in React and TypeScript with a focus on component architecture.
• Proficient in Node.js for building RESTful BFF layers.
• Solid grasp of JWT-based authentication and authorization flows.
• Experience in API composition, caching, and frontend orchestration.
• Skilled in implementing WCAG-compliant, responsive interfaces.
• Familiarity with building robust applications that support offline mode and long sessions.
• Bonus: Experience with Next.js and/or previous work in sales or retail domains.
• Language requirement: English (professional level)
