Are you ready to make a real impact on sustainability within one of the world’s most innovative consumer electronics companies? Samsung is looking for a driven and strategic Sustainability Manager Nordic to lead the sustainability agenda across the region. 

This is a full-time consulting assignment based in Kista, Stockholm. The assignment start on May 5th, 2025 and continues until further notice.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for driving and communicating Samsung's sustainability initiatives across the Nordics. Leading a dedicated team, you will ensure the company's commitment to environmental responsibility, legal compliance, and meaningful stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the General Counsel and Director for Legal, Compliance & Corporate Affairs, you will collaborate closely with local sales teams, headquarters, and corporate marketing.

Responsibilities

• Shape and lead Samsung’s sustainability strategy across the Nordic region.
• Support sales teams with sustainability-related projects and customer dialogues, answering questions on compliance and environmental topics.
• Develop clear and impactful sustainability messaging together with the Corporate Marketing team.
• Monitor regulatory developments, manage risks, and ensure reputation management in sustainability matters.
• Represent Samsung in discussions with authorities, industry organizations, and NGOs; participate in panels and public events.
• Implement and align local sustainability strategies with European and global programs.
• Ensure compliance with current and future sustainability legislation and reporting requirements (e.g. battery directives, chemical taxes).
• Coordinate internal alignment across global teams and define clear ownership and responsibilities across stakeholders.
• Lead and coach your team to successfully implement sustainability and public affairs strategies.

About You

You are a mature, experienced professional with a strong drive to get things done. With a natural "doer" mentality and hands-on approach, you thrive in fast-paced environments and are not afraid to take ownership and act quickly when needed. Your commercial mindset, coupled with a deep understanding of sustainability challenges, makes you comfortable navigating complex, multinational organizations. You are confident in external communication—whether representing Samsung at industry meetings, addressing customers, or collaborating with public authorities.

Personality and leadership qualities will be highly prioritized for this role. Samsung is looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with action-oriented execution and effective stakeholder management.

Experience and Skills

• Relevant academic background in sustainability, environmental studies, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar sustainability-focused role within a global organization.
• Strong understanding of Nordic government affairs, public institutions, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional projects and international teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Swedish and English.
• Experience handling complex compliance matters (e.g. battery directives, chemical taxes) and regulatory reporting.
• Confident representing the company externally (e.g. in customer meetings, industry forums, public panels).
• Willingness to travel approximately twice per month within the Nordics and once per month internationally.
• Knowledge of the electronics industry or similar fast-paced sectors is an advantage.
