To our client within retail we are currently looking for a Financial Controller!
The Financial Controller role will play an important part of financial steering within the Franchise function. You will be an integral member of the Global Franchise team, working closely with the Head of Controlling for Franchise as well as collaborating with franchise partners and core corporate functions - including Accounting, Tax, Transfer Pricing, Treasury, and Business Tech.
The franchise team is growing as our client continue to offer better support for their existing partners and add new partners, new markets, new brands and drive growth for the Group. The team is very diverse with nationalities from over 10 countries working with partners in Asia, Middle East, Europe, Africa and South America.
Key Responsibilities:
Steer discussions between the Franchisee and Global Functions (Transfer Pricing, Tax, Accounting, and Treasury) to ensure alignment and compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
Establish and maintain internal control mechanisms for existing and new partners
Identify, steer, and resolve financial issues with the franchise partner, ensuring holistic solutions that consider the perspectives of multiple functions.
Support financial planning, reporting, and performance monitoring in coordination with local and global stakeholders.
Ensure Franchisees timely submission of statutory requirements for tax and audit
Follow up on payments from Franchisor to Franchisee and ensure all the books are handled correctly in strong collaboration with Franchise accounting.
Ensuring all profit and cost centers are correctly established and maintained for Franchise
Key Skills & Qualifications
Good understanding of accounting, tax and transfer pricing principles
Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional discussions and align diverse stakeholders
Experience in establishing and managing internal control frameworks
Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to find holistic, data-driven financial solutions.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across geographies and functions.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
About the assignment
For this assignment you will be hired as a full-time consultant by Digitalenta. The assignment is expected to start around 2026-03-09 will run to 2026-12-31 and is part-time at 75%.
